Common questions

Which vendors does Merlonix monitor?

Merlonix tracks 11 upstream vendors around the clock: Stripe, Cloudflare, AWS, OpenAI, Anthropic, Vercel, GitHub, Shopify, Slack, Google Cloud, and Azure. The board above shows each one’s current status and refreshes automatically every 60 seconds.

How does Merlonix know when a vendor is having an outage?

Merlonix continuously reads each vendor’s own official status page and normalizes the result into a single status — operational, degraded, partial outage, major outage, or maintenance — with the affected components and incident history surfaced inline. A single-region or partial event is shown as a partial outage rather than a blanket “everything is down”, so the badge is never read in isolation.

How current is the vendor status shown here?

The live board above reflects the latest status Merlonix observed, refreshed every 60 seconds. These are point-in-time observations of each vendor’s public status page, not a real-time feed from the vendor. For a specific vendor’s recent reliability, open its 30-day history page.

Will an upstream vendor outage trigger false “your site is down” alerts?

When a check fails on an asset you have tagged with a provider that is degraded or in a partial or major outage, Merlonix retains the dashboard alert and holds channel notifications and on-call pages. Dependency tags establish the match; they do not prove the provider caused the failure. Unrelated providers and planned provider maintenance do not trigger this suppression.

Can I see a vendor’s reliability history over time?

Each vendor’s 30-day history page shows daily status observations and the incident details included in its latest snapshot. The separate 30-day vendor digest counts distinct incidents recorded across the window. Both are dated snapshots; the live board shows the latest fetched status.

A vendor outage shouldn’t page you at 3am.

Tag each site with the providers it depends on. When a tagged provider has an active outage, Merlonix keeps your failed-check alerts visible in the dashboard and holds channel notifications and on-call pages. Unrelated provider incidents and planned provider maintenance do not trigger this suppression.
